It must be torture for the students to go nearly 3 hours without food. The first thing they do after school is make a beeline to a food of their choice, from typical isaan, to ice cream sundaes, to donuts they gotta feed the tapeworm.
khon kaen and this area are known for silk. If you are ever buying silk for presents, come to khon kaen or kalasin and you pretty much pay for the trip for what you save from bangkok prices. And shrines well they are pretty much everywhere.
